Good for travel, easy setup

I got a temporary phone number for my trip to Europe and it worked out pretty well. Setting it up was super simple, took like five minutes tops. Calls forwarded to my regular cell, no problem. Saved me from needing a local SIM card, which was nice. Good overall experience.

US number for international use

I purchased a US virtual number to manage calls while living abroad. The ordering process was straightforward on their website, and activation was quick, within an hour. Call quality for international forwarding has been consistently clear, and SMS reception worked reliably for bank verifications. I also set up voicemail to email, which is a convenient feature for missed calls. The only minor hiccup was initially configuring the multi-device forwarding; it took a few tries to get it right. Support documentation helped clarify that. Delivery of service was instantaneous since it's virtual. It's a solid service for expats.

Great value, saved money

As a first-time buyer, I was looking for something affordable. I got a local virtual number for the US. The annual plan discount was really good, definitely saved me some cash compared to monthly. It felt worth the purchase for sure. The service worked just as advertised for calls and texts. Happy with the value.

Decent service, minor issue

I picked up a Canada virtual number for my business. The price for the annual plan was competitive, which was a plus. Call forwarding was reliable, and my clients didn't even realize it was a virtual number. The setup was mostly smooth. My main gripe was with the caller ID customization; it felt a little clunky to configure, not as intuitive as the rest of the interface. Once set, it worked fine, but getting there took a bit more effort than I expected. Overall, good value for the money, but that one feature could use some polish.

Absolutely essential for expats!

EasyRinger is a lifesaver! I got an expat communication service for when I moved overseas, and it's been absolutely fantastic. My family can reach me on a local number, and I never miss important calls or texts from back home. The call quality is surprisingly good, even across continents. I'm telling all my friends who travel a lot about this. I will definitely be renewing my subscription when the time comes!

hey, trying to figure out if i should do the monthly or annual plan. is the annual really that much cheaper or is it just like a small difference?

A Anthony A. 1 month ago
It's a pretty good chunk, like 15-20% usually. I always go annual, saves a decent amount over the year.

Definitely worth it for the annual. I mean, it's not like you're going to stop needing it in a month if you're an expat, right? Plus they sometimes have other deals around Black Friday for annual too.

Thinking about getting an EasyRinger number for my trip to Europe, but wondering about the SMS part. Does it actually work for verification codes and stuff like WhatsApp?

B Brittany Roberts 2 weeks ago
Yeah, it worked for me. Used it for a couple of different services that needed a text verification while I was in Spain. No issues.

I've heard mixed things about WhatsApp. For most other texts, it's usually fine. But WhatsApp specifically can be kinda finicky with virtual numbers sometimes, afaik. Might wanna check their FAQs or something.

Has anyone used EasyRinger for a business number? Like, does it actually sound professional, or is it obviously a virtual line with bad quality?

D Donna Mitchell 1 month ago
My buddy uses it for his small online store, and honestly, I can't tell it's not a regular landline. Call quality seems totally fine.

It's decent. I've had good luck with it for client calls. You can even set up a little auto attendant thing which makes it sound more legit. No weird echoes or anything so far.

I'm looking for a temporary number while I'm traveling for a few months. How easy is it to cancel EasyRinger once I'm done with it? Don't want to get stuck in a subscription.

L Laura Jackson 3 weeks ago
Super easy. Just go into your account settings. I cancelled one before and it was like two clicks. No hoops to jump through.

yeah, cancellation is straightforward. I think it depends on if you're on monthly or annual though. if you pay for a year, you probably just lose the rest of the year if you cancel early, but you definitely won't get charged again.

Is EasyRinger any good compared to Google Voice? I've used GV before but looking for something more reliable for international stuff.

S Sam Clark 2 days ago
Google Voice is okay for basic US stuff, but if you're talking about forwarding to another country or getting numbers from other countries, EasyRinger is way more robust. Plus, GV can be weird about letting you use it outside the US without a VPN.
